Trailers are not all created equally. Some of the quality items in trailer are small details but can make a big difference in the long run.
Some trailer manufactures use axles from China rather than American made. Find that out.
Other companies will claim to have LED lights when what they really have are only LED lights in the back.
Some trailers have ¾ inch ply wood, but it is not pressure treated. This is a big mistake if you are in rain or snow a lot. And if you live in the Northwest you do live in a lot of rain. Some manufactures use a CDX or rated sheeting plywood. This is cheap plywood meant to be used in a roof where they will be under shingles and not exposed to water.
One of the most expensive things factories have to buy is the ROOF sealant used to make the roofs. You want a trailer with a good quality sealant the will last in any weather for the entire life of the trailers.
Other factories scrimp on the paint. Some companies don’t put enough paint on. Some trailers aren’t painted underneath. This can mean that rusting will start before you have even pulled the trailer off the lot.
